Kristin Chenoweth's Broiled Asparagus
"Asparagus is an easy vegetable that tastes great," the singer and actress tells Us.

Ingredients:
– 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp pepper

Preheat broiler. On a baking sheet, coat each piece of asparagus in olive oil. Evenly sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Arrange asparagus in a single layer and broil for six to eight minutes — shaking the banking sheet occasionally — until asparagus is tender and slightly charred. Transfer to a platter and voila!

Serves 4.

Merry TexMex! Festive Tamale Soup
Texans like Jessica Simpson just love some good Tex-Mex cooking. This dish is easy to prepare and adds a touch of Texas to your holiday meal.

Ingredients:
– 1 dozen H-E-B or Central Market Beef or Chicken Tamales, cooked
– 1 jar Canyon Foods Tortilla Soup
– 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
– 2 cans (12 to 16 ounces each) hominy or corn kernels
– 8 ounces shredded colby jack cheese

Remove husks from tamales, and cut or crumble into bite-size pieces. Place soup in a 3-quart saucepan. Add tamales and tomatoes with green chilies (including juice). Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium and then let it simmer for 10 minutes, uncovered. Add hominy and cheese. Stir to heat and melt cheese. Season to taste. Serve while hot.

Jon Gosselin's Apple Crisp
"My kids love it!" the reality dad tells Us.

Ingredients:
– 3 lbs apples (about 9)
– 2 tbsp lemon juice
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
– 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
– 1/3 cup flour
– 1/3 cup granulated sugar
– 1/3 cup rolled oats
– 4 tbsp cold butter
– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9-inch square baking dish and set aside. Peel, core and chop apples and place in a bowl, and then add lemon juice. In a second bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add in apple mixture. In a third bowl, combine flour, sugar and oats. Cut butter and mash into flour until crumbly. Stir in walnuts. Spread apple mixture into baking dish and sprinkle flour mixture on top. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned. Top with vanilla ice cream.

Serves 8.

Miranda Lambert's Corn Casserole

Ingredients:
– 1 can creamed corn
– 1 can whole-kernel corn (not drained)
– 1 cup uncooked macaroni
– 1/2 cup butter, sliced
– 8 oz cubed cheese (Velveeta) or shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a casserole dish and set aside. Mix creamed corn, whole-kernel corn and uncooked macaroni in a medium bowl. Add butter and cheese. Place in the casserole dish and cover. Bake for 30 minutes. Uncover, stir and bake for 30 more minutes.

Serves 4.
